4th. Grade Reading:

General Information:

• Class everyday
• Pop quizzes given approximately 2 times a week
• Test at the end of the story

What to expect:

• Vocabulary
• Story/Comprehension Techniques
• Comprehension Questions
• Activities integrated with the story
• Skills- ex. Using a dictionary, thesaurus, etc

Monthly Book Report: A genre will be announced for the month.  Prior to reading, I will set a date to view the chosen book and give approval.  Most months the children will receive a graphic organizer to guide them through their reading.  The students may refer to their graphic organizer as they write the report.  The book may not be used during the writing of the report in class.
