WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT ST. JOAN OF ARC
- As a component of our Catholic Identity Self Assessment during the 2010-2011 school year, parents were asked to comment on the school. We wish to share with you the many responses we received.
- My child has learned about the Catholic faith and talks about it at home, which in return, we are learning too!
- My daughter is proud to be in a Catholic environment. At home she is in a non-Catholic environment and has taught us so much about Catholicism. We are proud that my daughter is following a faith that is deeply rooted in Jesus Christ and is inside of the teachers’ hearts.
- Religious education helps children to have a better education in a different way, not only with academics, but also with life issues.
- St. Joan of Arc is a great school that places equal importance in academics as well as enriching a kid’s knowledge of God and the bible. I thank God every day for giving my daughter the opportunity to attend such a great school. Raising kids becomes a little easier when the right religious faith is taught to them in school.
- St. Joan of Arc is a wonderful school that gives children security, education, and life lessons.
- Me and my husband appreciate that our kids are so well educated about every subject especially the lessons about Christ.
- St. Joan of Arc is blessed with an excellent staff of teachers, an active and effective administration, a student body that encompasses all that Catholic education has to offer, and a strong connection to the parents and community.
- The administration, staff, priests, and parents at St. Joan’s are clearly committed to providing a Catholic education to all its students. We are very happy with the progress our child has made since entering the school. Most importantly, we are seeing her grow in her relationship with God. Thank you for all the hard work!
- This is the first year that our daughter is attending SJA so we are learning about the school. As parents we are very pleased with the school and our child’s progress in learning.
- St. Joan of Arc is an excellent, challenging, Catholic school that has great, dedicated teachers that show passion and patience in teaching their students. The curriculum and hard work required makes the sacrifice worth it. My son loves to attend this school and wonders what he is going to learn next. His teacher shows dedication, patience, caring, and discipline. This makes my son motivated to learn more. I feel no other school could provide this to my son.
- My son was in a Catholic school before but now he prays every day. He sings songs and prays in English. He’s always talking about God and how great He is. He is a different child since he started coming to SJA. I want to educate myself too and am preparing for my First Communion. I am so excited!
- This is my daughter’s first year at SJA. The school’s Catholic identity is brought out in all the children. I observe from my daughter an awareness of others, compassion for others, and a general increased knowledge of the Catholic faith.
- At St. Joan of Arc Catholic School, Catholic identity is present every day in the classrooms and in the school staff. My child is being taught to be a leader.
- SJA provides excellent academic preparation for high school and even college. It provides a great Catholic foundation.
- The Catholic teachings at SJA are great and I am glad my child is surrounded by the people in the school that make this possible. My two other children attended Catholic schools as well. I know I made the right choice in sending my daughter here.
- My daughter was a graduate from SJA in June 2009, my son June 2010. She graduated with honors from your school. Presently she is a sophomore at Archbishop Molloy High School. Last January 2011, her essay got her accepted in a Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program in Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She attended the program together with medical students from January to March 2011 every Friday after school. There were 79 sophomore students attending from different schools. On the last day of the program awards were given out. She won the scientific research award that came with a $500 scholarship. I am so proud of her and the first thing that came to my mind was St. Joan of Arc School. I couldn’t thank St. Joan of Arc School more. The faculty prepared my two children so well for what lies ahead in high school and college. St. Joan of Arc not only prepared my two children academically but emotionally and spiritually. I appreciate the school so much. My son attends Bronx School of Science and is doing great there. I am so proud of both of them. My best regards to all the teachers who were part of my children’s future! Thank you so much!
