Dress Code
SHOES
Shoes for girls and boys MUST always be tie shoes - no variations
(NO deck shoes, suede Chukka boots, etc.)
Girls - navy blue or black leather oxford or bucks
FLAT HEEL ONLY
Boys-Black leather oxford or bucks
THE UNIFORM IS AS FOLLOWS:
GIRLS Grades 1-3
- Jumper
- White Blouse-short or long sleeved-with logo
- Cardigan sweater with logo
- Black tights and in warmer weather white knee socks
Grades 4-8
- Kilt
- White Blouse-short or long sleeved-with logo
- Tie
- V-Neck sweater with logo
- Black tights and in warmer weather white knee socks
BOYS All Grades
- Navy blue dress trousers
- White shirt-short or long sleeved with logo
- Tie
- V Neck sweater with logo
All students are to be in uniform everyday unless they are given permission by the Principal to wear other dress. If a student is not in complete uniform a parent will be called or notified in writing.
*Students should be neat and well groomed.
*Shoes are to be polished.
*Clothes are to be clean and pressed.
*Nails and hair are to be clean.
*We should be a fine example to all!
- Girls should keep the hair back in such a way that it will not fall in front of the face.
- NO make-up of any type is allowed, including nail polish.
- Skirts and jumpers must be worn to the knee.
- Absolutely no jewelry of any kind, except for watches and ear posts.
- No elaborate headbands or hair bows permitted.
- Boy's hair length should not reach below the collar in the back.
- It should be short in front so as not to impair vision.
- No extreme haircuts, i.e. mushroom, are permitted. Of course, no hair dye or shaved heads are permitted.
GYM REQUIREMENTS
Navy blue shorts, white T-shirt with or without SJA logo may be worn under uniform.
ONLY sweat pants and sweat shirt with SJA logo may be worn to, during and from school on GYM day.
In warmer weather ONLY white T-shirt and sweat pants with
SJA logo may be worn to, during and from school on GYM day.
