There are four scores students achieve for a test taken in the New York State Testing Program:
Level 1 Student performance does not demonstrate an understanding of the content expected
at this grade level.
Level 2 Student performance demonstrates a partial understanding of the content expected
at this grade level.
Level 3 MEETS PROFICIENCY STANDARDS
Student performance demonstrates an understanding of the content expected
at this grade level.
Level 4 EXCEEDS PROFICIENCY STANDARDS
Student performance demonstrates an understanding of the content expected
at this grade level.
MATHEMATICS given in grades 4,6,8
Grade 4: Level 1: 0% Level 2: 37% Level 3: 49% Level 4: 15% Total Level 3 & 4: 64%
Grade 6: Level 1: 7% Level 2: 34% Level 3: 43% Level 4: 16% Total Level 3 & 4: 59%
Grade 8: Level 1: 2% Level 2: 28% Level 3: 65% Level 4: 5% Total Level 3 & 4: 70%
Students who scored a level 1 or a level 2 attend the Learning Center, 5 days a week, for math.
The Learning Center provides a smaller class size to work at a slower pace with these students.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS given in grades 4,6, 8
Grade 4: Level 1: 0% Level 2: 20% Level 3: 80% Level 4: 0% Total Level 3 & 4: 80%
Grade 6: Level 1: 3% Level 2: 25% Level 3: 69% Level 4: 2% Total Level 3 & 4: 71%
