STUDENT SUPPLY LISTS FOR 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR

Please know that all marble notebooks required must be HARD COVERED MARBLE NOTEBOOKS.

The marble notebooks that the school will supply to our Pre-Ks, Ks, and First Graders are soft covered.  Since these notebooks are difficult to purchase and we want our students to have the same notebooks to make instruction uniform, soft covered books were are only available on these styles.

THE 3 SUBJECT HARD COVERED MARBLE NOTEBOOKS are difficult to find. If you can't find them, purchasing the thickest notebook will work, dividing the book into three sections. A suggestion to divide a notebook into 3 subjects:  Subject 1 begins from the first page of the notebook to the middle.  Subject 2 begins in the middle of the notebook where the binding of the book is visible.  Subject 3 begins on the last page of the notebook, working from the back towards the center of the notebook.  This way, a student has an organized system in dividing the notebook for the year.

We do not permit any spiral or wire bound notebooks in any grade. Even if the notebook has a spiral guard, a comfort grip, or a poly cover enclosing the wire binding, those notebooks are not permitted for safety reasons.

School bags can not have wheels on them due to safety concerns on the stairs.  Additionally, the school's insurance company no longer permits their use in buildings they insure for the same reason.

No mechanical pencils may be used in any grade.  # 2 pencils are required.  Ask for # 2 pencils.

No Trapper Keepers and binders.

Loose leaf (also called Filler Paper)  may be kept in folders or purchased in the form of a Theme Tablet but not kept in a binder. Only wide ruled loose leaf/ filler paper (8" x 10.5") may be used.
College ruled loose leaf may not be used at any time.

No White Out correction fluids, White Out correction pens, or White Out correction tapes.  Any form of Liquid Paper or correction tapes are not permitted.  Students will cross out their mistake ONCE and write the correct response next to the mistake.  This is due to students and parents altering graded assignments and tests then requesting teachers to change grades.
